I guess Babe really is working out there in New Orleans! Look, he won this award for a parking garage he deigned in Arizona. And here I thought he was just doing pub crawls and ghost tours. Congrats Big Guy!
I'm not even really a Chris Cornell fan. Babe hates the song Black Hole Sun. Me and BFF always made fun of Spoon Man (I still sing it Fork Girl) and I hate Audioslave.
Still, I was so sad when I heard he died today and that he possibly killed himself.
I think for a couple of reasons. One, me and Babe just saw him in November at the Temple of the Dog show and he was so good live. He was so rock and roll but also just rad in his cardigan. (that's the pic above, obviously). Also because like him or not his songs were a part of my everyday growing up. Like every day.
Anyways, I hope he knows literally everyone my age and all the people in southern California at least are listening to his music today.
Happy anniversary to my folks! They are celebrating their 48th anniversary today. I love these people so much. I also love this picture and look at it every day because Josie is obsessed with her Grama and Grampa. Hope you have a great day folks and you go out to eat or do whatever you want. It's your day!
Buddy had a school project where she had to interview a community helper and then make a doll of them. So she chose her Auntie Sunny who is a doctor. She was so excited to take Auntie Sunny to work today! Can you see her stethoscope?
my beautiful first niece is now taller than her mom. look at this gorgeous family. i love them all so much.
happy 14th birthday to one of the most beautiful, fastidious, responsible, creative young women i've ever had the pleasure of getting to know.
i still remember when we lived in nyc, her first year of life. i would take the long island rail road out to port jefferson every sunday and watch her every monday. she taught me so much about babies and made me not afraid to have my own children. now i am crying at my desk and ruining my make up.
Yo, so we're a few days into May but I still need to do my 2017 resolution wrap up for April:
10,000 steps a day every day! I have done this every day in 2017. It has been awesome and I love it.
Getting more sleep - well the jury is out on this one. We just put the girls together in the same room and put Joze in a big girl bed so I haven't been getting a lot of sleep. But I'm still on the trying to go to bed earlier bandwagon.
More water, less wine - I'd say I have work to do here.
Political action - I didn't do anything in April. But I did work like 100 extra hours so I'm going to forgive myself. But I'm way behind on 52 for the year.
