#fitbyforty


Hey, guys!

I have a year and a few months til I turn forty! 

I've been meaning to tell you about my #goals. I'm working towards being fitbyforty, which can mean any number of things.

I've been making small changes into habits so when I turn forty, I'll be set for the second half of my life with real healthy habits.

One of those is walking 10,000 steps, or five miles, every day. On an average day, it takes me an additional 75 minutes of walking in my day to make 7,500 steps. 

Well, I clearly don't have an extra 75 minutes to do this in one go. 

So, every morning for the past month or so me and the little girls have gone on a "pokemon walk" around one or two blocks, in my neighborhood. We have a poke-stop about a block from our house, so we go there, around a block, back to the stop and home. It's a 20 minute walk. 

It's a new habit!
