Motherless Brooklyn

My first Jonathan Lethem book, Motherless Brooklyn was a great find! Thanks BFF for sending it my way. (Be careful clicking that link - BFF is half naked on her blog with another girl in bed. And what I mean by be careful is click right away!) This book is about a mafioso detective who has tourette's syndrome, a real true to life murder mystery.

Here's my fave quote:

"We bumped and rattled over the Brooklyn-Queens Expressway, rottenest surface in the boroughs. Like the G train, the BQE suffered from low self-esteem, never going into citadel Manhattan, never tasting the glory."
