Babe's Birthday
Dudes, Babe's birthday was so much fun!
Stupid Little Branch was closed (LAME!!!!) so we moved the party over to Daddy-O in the West Village - a fine spot for a little pre dinner drinking.
But dinner really was the crown jewel - man it was freakin delicious.
Do Hwa on Carmine Street was like the best Korean food I have ever had. Everything was tasty and delicious. The service was excellent, the drinks were good, and the company was just perfect. What a great night!!!!

Thanksgiving Wedding
Babe and I headed out to Tulsa Oklahoma for the wedding of a good pal. We had such a nice time in Tulsa - it was a really nice place to hang out.
Then we headed over to Denver to chill with the folks for a few days. Very nice. Some pictures? Sure!

Monday!
Supposedly today is Cyber Monday, with all kinds of deals and steals just for this day. Who has time to shop, though, after being off for four days?
God Bless America, I have a paper due and for some reason I just will not finish it. Why? I don't know.
The wedding was lovely and the Denver visit was fantastic. Pictures and details to follow.
And! Not one plane delay.Thank you Delta. You go girl.

Haiku Tulsa & Denver Friday
Started the day in
Tulsa, Oklahoma, but
now am in Denver.
Snow still on the ground.
Totally chilly today.
Winter is now here.
Happy black Friday!
Hope you got your deals and steals.
And none were trampled.

My First Time
This is the first time I have ever blogged from my blackberry. This is also the first time I have been to the Cincinatti Airport. Babe and I have a wee tradition of drinking at every airport. So, even though it's before noon, we can cross this one off the list.
I hope wherever you are you having a wonderful Thanksgiving. And a mimosa.

Monday Monday
Hey you guys. I'm having a hard time getting into work this AM. Just sat through a 2 hour meeting that made me a little sleepy. Need to focus - get it together man.
This weekend was very chill, with a happy hour Friday night and then on Saturday hung out in Brooklyn.
Checked out the Smoke Joint in Fort Greene for some pretty delicious barbque. Had a drink at Mullane's - they had $3.00 Miller Hight Life - the champagne of beers!
Went out at night to Frank's Lounge, which, as the website says, really might be the best club in Brooklyn. Hit up a freakin super cute bar called Cherry Tree on 4th Ave. Definitely worth a re-visit! Then, too Cattyshack to listen to a friend spin music and hang out.
Last night took a train up to Harlem which for the first time since I moved to NYC felt far. Had the best mole I've ever had. Thanks Joaquin! And learned a new salsa recipe. Also watched the Amazing Race - SO GOOD - and played WII. I want one.

Ang got a new job!
All of her hard work paid off.
I say you go girl!
Babe has a secret.
Everyone will know soon, though.
Better him than me.
No changes for me.
Dieting again but that
is not really news.

Yesterday
Yesterday:
- The NY Post said that women with bigger hips have smarter children. Thank you, Post.
- I made Hamburger Stroganoff for dinner. Want the recipe? It's too easy for words: saute an onion and some garlic, brown up some ground beef, add in a can of 98% fat free cream of mushroom soup, simmer that for 15 minutes. While you're doing that, make some egg noodles (I use the no-yoke kind). Then mix into the hamburger some reduced fat sour cream and you are done. MMMM comfort food.
- I heard from my old friend on MyspaceProfile. It was so good to hear from her - we hadn't talked to each other since High School. She and I went to Jr. High together, she's tall like me, and was the first person I ever knew who had sex. I mean who was my age. I also got drunkie with her on mimosas when we were in Jr. High. And high school, but in Jr. High she was the first person I ever really got drunkie with. Needless to say, her Ma was a super cool mom and I totally loved her. I found out yesterday that she died a few years back. So freakin sad, dude. Miss Sylvia - this ones for you!

Yesterday
Yesterday:
- I totally electrocuted myself you guys! I was unplugging my charger and basically stuck my fingernail in the socket. EW! Not a good way to start a Monday.
- I also worked all day long and got quite a bit done.
- I also read at least 25 pages in my book the Karma of Brown Folk. What's up Indian people!!
- Also re-fell in love with my DVR and composed a love letter, in my head, to that little silver box that sits near my TV.
- I made chicken for dinner with a little bit of salad.
- Opened a bottle of organic red wine (mmm, no sulfites!)
- Went to Happy Hour.
- Went to bed early.

28 Weeks & gross flesh eating zombie people Later

Last night, Babe, Nines, and I watched 28 Weeks Later. Seen it? Did you see the original? The original was really scary! Its about this gross virus (the Rage Virus!) that turns people into crazy man eating zombie freaks.
Ha! Its so good. So we watched the sequel last night. I must say - also, very good! Thumbs up random British dudes! Thumbs way up.

Reality TV
After months of complaining that there was nothing good on TV, TV is coming back with a vengeance.
With my recently purchased DVR, I get to enjoy so much more TV without having to rush home and turn it on.
Dudes, I've got to say this season of Survivor is hearkening back to the older seasons. Ever since they did the survivor Race war, they've had way more people of color on the show. Huge thumbs up. I like a little diversity. You all know that. So this season is great so far.
And then there's the Amazing Race. So far, so good! Just one night and the first team to get kicked off were so stinkin lame I was glad they got the boot.
Oh! And Kumar is guest starring on House right now! I have a not so secret crush on Kal Penn and I freakin love having Indian people on TV. Bring it!

Misc. Items & Park Slope Bar Crawl #3
Congratulations to the LA Dodgers on getting Joe Torre as a manager. You guys are Lucky.
***
Went out on Saturday night with Sashie and Scott and Babe and Mr. Pumpkin. We totally went to Prospect Park (first time, bitches!) and checked out some fall colors. Have you been to Prospect? It is as big (bigger than?) as Central Park, but when we were there, there weren't very many people. It was really lovely (pics to come!).
We then went to Biscuit BBQ for a snack and a drink. We shared a pulled pork plate with a couple of sides (MMM Macaroni & Cheese and Candied Yams), then a few biscuits. MMM Biscuits.
Drank a delicious beer, but now I can't remember what kind it was.
Refreshed, we headed out to do some window shopping on Fifth Avenue.
We were making our way down to the Stone Park Cafe, but lets not get ahead of ourselves. We stopped at multiple bars including The Gate, the one across the street from Commerce Bank, and a newish Scottish Bar, where Mr. Pumpkin joined us.
And maybe one more? They were all pretty divey, and we just had a beer at each, but man oh man did we have a good time.
Stone Park Cafe was absolutely delicious. We started with this warm spinach salad, butternut squash soup with little pieces of green apple on top, and shared a plate of Bone Marrow. You got it. Bone Marrow. MMM so salty.
For dinner, me and Sashie each got a Steak, Babe got the salmon, and Scottie got the Scallops.
The wine was flowing and the aperitifs sealed the deal.
Definitely recommended. The people who worked there were super nice, too, and even gave Mr. Pumpkin a drink, though he was totally surly and unreasonable by that point.
***
What a great place to end the night. But no, we are people of excess and not moderation.
So we went to Junior's to pick up a cheesecake, walked home on Dekalb, and stopped into Alibi for that fateful one last round. Who orders a glass of wine as her last round? Oh me, that's who.
Out of 10, I'd score the night a 50.

Good-bye dear twenties.
Thirty trips around the sun.
Pretty stolked on life.

Graduated twice,
